Nicosia: Cyprus witnessed significant temperature variations across its major cities, with Nicosia recording the highest temperatures of the day. The data, collected from 20:00 of the previous day until the time of reporting, highlighted varying humidity levels as well.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Department of Meteorology reported that Nicosia recorded a high of 37°C and a low of 21°C, with a humidity level of 44% at 1200 UTC. Larnaka Airport and Limassol both experienced a high of 32°C, but humidity levels were notably higher, reaching 66% and 62% respectively.
In other regions, Pafos Airport recorded a temperature range of 31°C to 23°C with a humidity level of 66%. Frenaros saw a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C, with a humidity rate of 65%. Prodromos, known for its cooler climate, recorded lower temperatures at 25°C and 19°C, but with the highest humidity level of 90%. Polis Pafos matched Frenaros with a high of 33°C but experienced slightly lower humidity at 65%.
The report underscores the diverse climatic conditions across Cyprus, with Nicosia experiencing the most significant heat, while Prodromos maintained cooler temperatures with high humidity.
