Cyprus Experiences Favorable Maritime Conditions Amid Weak High Pressure

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating stable weather conditions for the period from 0600 on March 8, 2026, until 0600 on March 9, 2026. The forecast covers an expanse of 8 kilometers seawards and highlights the influence of weak high pressure on the region. According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast's issuance was recorded at 1020 hPa (hectopascal). The forecast notes that there will be locally increased cloud cover at times; however, visibility is expected to remain good throughout the period. The sea surface temperature is projected to be 18°C, which is consistent with seasonal norms.
