With a focus on the 8-kilometer zone seawards, the department highlights a period of mainly fine weather influenced by seasonal low pressure.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast's issuance was recorded at 1010 hPa. The forecast predicts good visibility throughout the period, accompanied by a sea surface temperature of 28°C. Importantly, no warnings have been issued, indicating stable weather conditions in the region.
The forecast specifies varying wind directions and intensities across different coastal areas. On the west coast, winds will shift from west to northwest in the afternoon, with intensities ranging from 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, leading to sea conditions described as smooth to slightly rough. Similar conditions are anticipated overnight, with morning winds becoming variable and shifting southwest to northwest.
The south coast will experience southwest winds in the afternoon, transitioning to a variable pattern overnight, with morning winds moving from southeast to southwest. The east coast will see a mix of southeast to southwest winds in the afternoon, shifting to west to northwest at night, and finally ranging from northwest to south by morning. The north coast will have northwest winds in the afternoon, shifting to southeast and southwest overnight, with variable winds expected in the morning. Throughout all coastal areas, the sea state is expected to remain smooth to slightly rough.
