Nicosia: Cyprus is contributing to European efforts to prevent and tackle cancer through the National eHealth Authority (NeHA), which is taking part in the European project ECHoS (Establishing Cancer Mission Hubs: beyond Networks and Synergies).

According to Cyprus News Agency, through the creation of National Cancer Hubs, ECHoS brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, citizens, and policymakers, helping translate knowledge and European policies into concrete action for better prevention and care.

It is also noted that, following support for the creation of 17 National Cancer Mission Hubs, ECHoS is entering a new phase, 'aimed at further expanding the network and creating a stable, interconnected European cancer cooperation network.'

'The National eHealth Authority supports European cooperation by harnessing the potential of digital health and innovation to improve prevention, provide more comprehensive care and reduce inequalities in cancer,' the press release concluded.
