Cyprus Condemns Fatal New Orleans Attack, Expresses Solidarity with Victims

NICOSIA: Cyprus has issued a strong condemnation of the violent attack in New Orleans that resulted in the deaths of 15 people. The tragic event unfolded in the French Quarter, a well-known nightspot, during the early hours of New Year’s Day, leaving dozens injured.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cyprus Presidency expressed its deep shock and horror over the incident in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “We strongly condemn this horrific act of violence,” the post read, further stating that their thoughts are with the victims and their families. The Cyprus Presidency also extended its solidarity to the people of the United States in the wake of this tragedy.

The attack in New Orleans has drawn international attention, with Cyprus joining other nations in expressing condolences and support for those affected.
