Nicosia: Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos and Deputy Minister for European Affairs held a meeting on Thursday with UAE Minister of State Lana Nusseibeh to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two nations. The discussions took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cyprus.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the meeting, which included a working lunch, provided an opportunity for the officials to follow up on the outcomes of the recent historic visit by UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Cyprus. The visit has been seen as a significant step in fostering closer ties between the two countries.
Minister Kombos shared on X that the discussions were productive, focusing on several key areas. These included further strengthening the relations between Cyprus and the UAE, examining EU-UAE relations in the context of Cyprus' upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU, and exchanging views on various regional developments.
