New york city: Cyprus and Kenya have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on agriculture. Cyprus FM Constantinos Kombos met with Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia W Mudavadi, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York City.

According to Cyprus News Agency, this meeting marks the second encounter between Kombos and Mudavadi in less than three months, following Kombos’ visit to Nairobi. The newly signed MoU focuses on smart farming, sustainability, innovation, and support for farmers, youth, and women. Additionally, the two countries agreed to cooperate on police training, as well as initiatives within the Commonwealth and the United Nations, under the framework of CyprusAid.

Kombos highlighted that the agreement is a continuation of the MoU on political consultations signed in July and reiterated Cyprus’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Kenya.
