Accra:Technical experts from Cyprus and Israel engaged in online discussions on Wednesday afternoon, aiming to reach an agreement regarding the shared natural gas reservoir between Cyprus' Aphrodite gas field and Israel's Ishai field.
According to Cyprus News Agency, no agreement was finalized during the talks, and further discussions are planned for an upcoming meeting to be scheduled soon.
Participants in the discussions included technical experts and legal advisers from both countries, as well as the operators of the two gas fields. The ongoing dispute arises from the natural gas reservoir of the Aphrodite field, located in Block 12 of Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone, which extends into the Ishai field within Israel's Exclusive Economic Zone.
