Nicosia:The Education Ministers of Cyprus and Greece, along with the Archbishop of Cyprus and the Bishop of Messinia of Greece, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to enhance educational collaboration between the two countries, with a specific focus on Cypriot history and its role in Hellenism.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the memorandum was signed at the Archdiocese in Nicosia by Cyprus's Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou, and Greece's Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharakis. Both ministers emphasized that the cooperation will include joint educational initiatives such as training seminars for educators and clergy, student competitions, educational visits, and the development of digital infrastructure.

Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus described the memorandum as a commitment to strengthening educational ties and preserving historical memory. The Bishop of Messinia Chrysostomos III conveyed the congratulations of the Archbishop of Greece Ieronymos, expressing support for the memorandum's objectives.
