Cyprus Airways announced today that a 406% increase was recorded in flights during last November, compared to the corresponding month in 2021. The announcement also mentions an improvement in traffic over pre-pandemic results, as well as positive trends for the upcoming summer season.

The record also shows healthy forward bookings trend continues for the current winter season and positive trends on sales for the upcoming summer season. Winter destinations include Athens, Beirut, Tel Aviv, Yerevan, Paris and Rome. Additionally, summer destinations include Basel, Zurich, Milan-Bergamo, Prague, Santorini, Skiathos, Rhodes, Heraklion, Cairo.

The company made plans to increase seat capacity between 15 December and 15 January 2023 on Athens, Yerevan, and Paris, to facilitate incoming tourists and Cypriots visiting Cyprus over the Christmas Period. Also, it issued special offers on day trips to Athens, and other offers on its recently launched routes of Paris and Rome.

“I am happy to note that Cyprus Airways is continuing with its positive trend and results even in Winter. These figures are remarkable, even when compared with those registered in November 2019, before the start of the pandemic”, said Natalya Milovanova, Chief Financial Officer of the airline. “As the sole Cypriot flag Carrier, we are working for the benefit of the Cypriot economy and its tourism industry, all year round,” she concluded.
