Cypriot Foreign Minister Engages in Strategic Talks with Greek and Kuwaiti Counterparts

Nicosia: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, engaged in telephone conversations with the Foreign Ministers of Greece and Kuwait on Tuesday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the X platform that Kombos spoke with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis as part of their routine communication and coordination efforts.

The discussions between Kombos and Gerapetritis focused on current regional issues and the ongoing Cyprus problem. This conversation underscores the continuous efforts to maintain close ties and coordination between Cyprus and Greece on matters of mutual interest.

In another strategic engagement, Kombos conducted his first official telephone conversation with Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. During the call, Kombos extended his congratulations to Sheikh Jarrah on his recent appointment as Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The conversation with the Kuwaiti counterpart explored various topics, including Cyprus-Kuwait bilateral relations, Cyprus's Presidency of the Council of the EU, relations between the EU and Kuwait, as well as the broader EU-Gulf Cooperation Council relations and regional developments. These discussions highlight Cyprus's ongoing diplomatic efforts in strengthening ties with key partners in the region.
