Nicosia: The Conference of Presidents of the European Committee of the Regions is scheduled to hold its 238th meeting in Nicosia on February 9-10, 2026. This event coincides with Cyprus assuming the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Union of Cyprus Municipalities has announced that high-level guest speakers, experts, and members of the Conference will engage in discussions on the role of digital innovation, research, and blue technologies in enhancing the preparedness and resilience of Europe's cities, regions, and coastal communities.
The conference will also delve into the significant contributions of local and regional authorities in advocating for these solutions, executing them at the local level, and safeguarding their communities amidst rising environmental and social challenges.
