Brussels: The European Commission has launched a call for evidence aimed at simplifying environmental legislation by reducing bureaucracy while still meeting the EU’s environmental objectives. This initiative is part of an effort to streamline processes and enhance the effectiveness of environmental policies across the region.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the forthcoming environmental omnibus proposal will introduce measures designed to simplify legislation related to the circular economy, industrial emissions, and waste management. The initiative seeks to identify EU environmental policies that can be made more business-friendly without compromising environmental goals or the protection of human health.
All interested stakeholders are invited to participate through the Have Your Say portal. The feedback window for the Call for Evidence will remain open until September 10, 2025.
