Nicosia: The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) has been acknowledged as a reference centre that provides vital solutions to citizens, stated Minister of Health, Neophytos Charalambides, during his visit to the Institute. The Minister toured the premises and attended a meeting with the Institute's Management.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Charalambides emphasized the high level of scientific expertise at CING, which serves not only the citizens of Cyprus but also extends its services beyond. He highlighted that the Institute successfully merges clinical practice with research to deliver critical solutions to those in need.
Charalambides also assured that the state appreciates the significant work done by CING over the years. He expressed his gratitude towards the Board of Directors, management, and staff for their dedication to serving the citizens and their families.
Dr. Leonidas Fylaktou, the General Executive Director and Medical Director of CING, stated that the Minister was briefed on the Institute's various activities, including patient services, research, and educational programmes. He noted that the focus remains on improving patient quality of life.
Additionally, Fylaktou thanked the Ministry of Health and the Cypriot Government for their ongoing support, which enables CING to provide top-tier medical care to patients.
