The latest developments in the Cyprus problem and regional developments were examined on Sunday during a meeting President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides had with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in Cairo.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Palace, in the framework of the Egyptian President’s Meeting with European leaders, regarding the EU-Egypt Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership.
A Presidency press release said President Christodoulides arrived at the Presidential Palace around 2pm, where he was welcomed by el-Sisi and then attended a bilateral meeting.
During the meeting, the two Presidents briefly reviewed the wide range of excellent bilateral relations between Cyprus and Egypt and discussed regional developments, while President Christodoulides briefed President Sisi on the latest developments on the Cyprus problem.
