The migration issue, the Cyprus problem, and bilateral cooperation were the main topics of discussion in a meeting the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held in Athens, today, April 7.
The Greek Prime Minister also reiterated his support for the Cypriot initiative “Amalthea” aiming to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza through a maritime corridor via Cyprus
Christodoulides has visited Athens, to participate in the 15th Congress of New Democracy ruling party.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed the latest developments on the Cyprus issue and the continuation of coordination between Greece and Cyprus.
The meeting also focused on the issue of increased migration flows to Cyprus, that ’cause great concern regarding the possibility of a new migration route due to the ongoing instability and violence in the Middle East”, according to the Greek Prime Minister’s Press Office.
