Limassol: The Cyprus Football Association celebrated its 90th anniversary on Tuesday at a special event held in Limassol, attended by UEFA President Alexander Ceferin. The celebration was marked as a tribute to Cypriot football, with the leadership of CFA welcoming presidents and representatives from thirty Football Federations across Europe. Commemorative presents were offered to CFA President Giorgos Koumas. FIFA was represented by Elkhan Mammadov, Director of the European Federations.
According to Cyprus News Agency, attendees included House Speaker Annita Demetriou, Minister of Justice Marios Hartsiotis, Minister of the Interior Konstantinos Ioannou, leaders and representatives of political parties, Chief of Police Themistos Arnaoutis, President of the Cyprus Sports Organization Yiannis Ioannou, President of Cyprus Olympic Committee Giorgos Chrysostomou, and Presidents and representatives of Cyprus Football Clubs. The notable gathering took place at the Gala Dinner of the event.

UEFA President Alexander Ceferin, in a brief statement to the media, conveyed his pleasure in being present for the 90th anniversary of CFA. He acknowledged the passion for football in Cyprus, noting that despite the country’s small population and limited resources compared to larger nations, it boasts good teams.
