CCCI and Ambassadors in Cyprus discuss technology and innovation issues

Ways in which technology and innovation can help both businesses and governments develop, improve, and contribute to the broader effort to transition to a digital and green economy, were the main topics of discussion at a working breakfast with ambassadors organized by CCCI.

According to a press release by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the working breakfast was attended by Ambassadors accredited to Cyprus and the Presidents of CCCI’s Interstate Business Associations. The working breakfast was jointly organized by CCCI and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.

The invited guests were greeted by the President of CCCI, Stavros Stavrou, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kyriakos Kouros. Following that, presentations were delivered by Chief Scientist Demetris Skourides, CYENS Director General George Chrysanthou, and Cyprus Institute’s Director of Research and Technical Support Vasilis Tsakalos, focusing on advancing innovation and digital t
echnology within both business and government sectors.

A discussion followed, and attendees exchanged views on the above-mentioned topics.

The event took place as part of the strengthening of Economic Diplomacy and is part of the series “Diplomacy meets Business”. The common goal of CCCI and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through these events, is to connect diplomats with the business world of Cyprus, with specific thematic areas per event aimed at strengthening business networking and cooperation between Cypriot and foreign companies.
