ISTANBUL: Wholesale sales in Canada rose 0.9% in November to $82.5 billion, according to data released by the statistics office on Monday.
The expectation for the figure was to show an increase of 0.8%.
Wholesale sales, a leading indicator of consumer spending, declined 0.3% in October.
“On an annual basis, wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) were 0.2% lower in November compared with the same month one year earlier,” Statistics Canada said in a statement.
