Canada’s Michael Woods wins 9th stage of Tour de France

Michael Woods of the Israel-Premier Tech team tasted victory in the ninth stage of the Tour de France on Sunday.

The 36-year-old cyclist from Canada completed the 182.5-kilometer (113-mile) route from St. Leonard de Noblat to Puy de Dome in four hours, 19 minutes, and 41 seconds.

Pierre Latour of TotalEnergies came in second, while Matej Mohoric of Bahrain Victorious finished in third place.

Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard of the Jumbo-Visma team is leading the race with a time of 38 hours, 37 minutes, and 46 seconds.

The race will end on July 23 on Paris’ Champs-Elysees after stage 21.
