The Council of Ministers held today its first meeting under its new composition following a government reshuffle announced last Monday. New Cabinet members were sworn in on Wednesday. The meeting on Thursday was chaired by the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides.
According to a Presidency press release, after welcoming the new Cabinet members, President Christodoulides urged them to work together to achieve all they have promised to the Cypriot people.
‘You are since yesterday members of a strong team” President Christodoulides told the new Ministers.
He also underlined that in the first ten months since the government took office, results show that ‘we can respond to all that we promised to the Cypriot people.”
President Christodoulides also stated that he remains at the disposal of the new Ministers, with whom, as he said, he will also have a tête-à-tête to discuss their portfolios.
