Limassol: Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball team arrived in Cyprus on Monday for the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket tournament. Bosnia is in Group C of the tournament taking place at Spyros Kyprianou stadium in the coastal town of Limassol.
According to Cyprus News Agency, this is the fourth team to arrive on the island for the basketball tournament. The only team left to arrive is Greece’s national team tomorrow.
Bosnia’s team, coached by Adis Beciragic, includes twelve players, namely Amar Alibergovic, Edin Atic, Jusuf Nurkic, Miralem Halilovic, Amar Gegic, Ajdin Penava, Aleksandar Lazic, Adin Vrabac, Adnan Arslanagic, Kenan Kamenja‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡, John Roberson, and Tarik Hrelja.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the first opponent of the Cyprus National Team in the premiere of the tournament, August 28 at 18:15 local time. The Bosnian team will subsequently face Spain on August 30 at 21:30, Italy on August 31 at 21:30, Greece on September 2 at 15:00, and Georgia on September 4 at 15:00.
Group C features basketball powerhouses Spain, Greece, and Italy, alongside host Cyprus, Georgia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Cyprus is the smallest host country in the 90-year history of EuroBasket.
Group A, which will be held in Riga, Latvia, includes Latvia, Serbia, Turkey, Estonia, Czechia, and Portugal. Group B, which will take place in Tampere, Finland, includes Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Lithuania, Montenegro, and Sweden. Group D, which will be held in Katowice, Poland, includes Poland, France, Slovenia, Israel, Iceland, and Belgium.
