Annual 5.6% Increase in Petroleum Product Sales in November

Nicosia: Total sales of petroleum products recorded an annual increase of 5.6% in November 2025, reaching 119,953 tonnes, according to data released on Monday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus. Increases were observed in the supply of petroleum to ships, which saw a significant rise of 97.4%, and to aircraft, which increased by 27.5%. Sales of asphalt also grew by 42.8%, while diesel fuel and gasoline sales rose by 1.9% and 0.4% respectively.

According to Cyprus News Agency, declines were noted in other areas. Sales of light and heavy fuel oil decreased by 44.6% and 39.4% respectively. Kerosene sales fell by 39.8%, heating oil by 22.2%, and liquefied petroleum gas by 18.3%. Sales through petrol stations specifically dropped by 5.0%, amounting to 55,670 tonnes.

Total petroleum product sales in November 2025, when compared with October 2025, decreased by 15.3%. Notably, supplies of fuel to aircraft fell by 40.0%, while sales of gasoline and diesel dropped by 12.4% and 10.0% respectively. Additionally, total petroleum product stocks at the end of November 2025 increased by 3.3% compared with the end of the previous month.

During the period from January to November 2025, total petroleum product sales rose by 4.8% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
