Abu Dhabi: Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr. Maria Panayiotou, travels on Monday evening to Abu Dhabi to participate in the World Utilities Congress, which will take place between 27 and 29 May. In the context of the Congress, she will hold a series of contacts.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Panayiotou will have separate bilateral meetings with the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates, Amna Al Dahak, and the Minister of Climate Change of Bahrain, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina. The agenda includes issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, in areas such as water management, rural development, environmental protection, and strengthening resilience to climate change.
In addition, Panayiotou will participate in thematic ministerial discussions with a focus on energy security, infrastructure resilience, and water management. The conference brings together government and business leaders from around the world, providing a forum for the exch
ange of policy and technological solutions for a sustainable and efficient future in the utilities sector.
The Minister returns to Cyprus on Wednesday afternoon.
