19th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology Announced

KOS: The Global Network of Environmental Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Open University of Cyprus, the University of the Aegean, and the University of Salerno, will host the 19th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology. Scheduled to take place on the island of Kos from September 3 to September 6, 2025, the conference invites participants to submit their abstracts and articles by January 25, 2025.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the conference will be chaired by Professor Demetris-Francis Lekkas of the University of the Aegean, with co-chairs Professor Vincenzo Belgiorno from the University of Salerno and Associate Professor Antonis Zorpas from the Open University of Cyprus. Professor Zorpas is the Director of the Master’s Degree Programme in ‘Sustainable Environmental Engineering’ and the Chemical Engineering and Engineering Sustainability Laboratory at OUC.

The conference is timely, as climate change continues to impact natural ecosystems and societies. It aims to unite scientists from multiple disciplines to address pressing environmental issues, including climate change, aquatic ecosystems, health, and biodiversity. Additionally, it will focus on management practices and the role of the circular economy in reducing environmental impacts, fostering innovative solutions, and enhancing both environmental and economic resilience.
