The warning is valid from 1300 to 1600, urging residents and visitors to exercise caution during this period.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Department of Forests has also raised concerns about the heightened risk of forest fires on Sunday, July 19, 2026. The risk level has been escalated to "Red Alert," emphasizing the potential for fires to break out and spread rapidly. Authorities have highlighted that causing a fire is a serious offense under the Forest Law and the Law on the Prevention and Extinguishing of Fires in the Countryside, carrying severe penalties for violators.
The public is strongly urged to exercise caution during outdoor activities, avoiding any actions that may lead to a fire. In the event of noticing smoke or fire, individuals are advised to immediately contact the Forest Department at 1407 or the Fire Department at 112.
