Nicosia: The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for extreme high temperature on Friday. The warning is valid from 14.00 until 16.30 (local time) on July 17. It indicates that the inland maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 40 degrees Celsius.
According to Cyprus News Agency, residents are advised to take necessary precautions to safeguard their health and well-being during this period. The agency suggests staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, and refraining from strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day. The warning serves as an alert to individuals, urging them to remain cautious and vigilant in response to the anticipated temperature rise.
