Weather Forecast: Cyprus Seas to Experience Cloudy Skies and Moderate Winds

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for the sea areas surrounding Cyprus, indicating that weak low pressure is currently affecting the region. As a result, the weather will be predominantly cloudy with occasional local showers and a risk of isolated thunderstorms. Dust in suspension is expected at times, potentially impacting visibility. According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast highlights that while visibility will generally be good, it may reduce to moderate levels during showers. The sea surface temperature has been recorded at 18°C. No warnings have been issued for the area. The west coast will experience winds from the southwest to northwest at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4 in the morning, increasing to 4 to 5 in the afternoon, and 5 to 6 at night. The state of the sea is expected to be slight to moderate, becoming moderate to rough locally during the night. On the south coast, morning winds will range from southwest to northwest at 3 to 4, with conditions beco ming slight to moderate. By the afternoon, winds will shift to south to southwest at 4 to 5, with similar sea conditions. During the night, winds are forecasted to strengthen to 5 to 6, leading to a moderate sea state. The east coast is predicted to have southwest to west winds at 3 to 4 in the morning, later shifting to southwest at 4. Afternoon winds will increase to 4 to 5, and by night, they are expected to reach 5 to 6, causing a slight to moderate sea state. For the north coast, winds will be south to southwest at 3 to 4 in the morning, increasing to 4 to 5 by the afternoon. Nighttime conditions will see southeast to southwest winds at 5 to 6, with the sea state being moderate, though locally slight to moderate conditions can be expected.
