Weak Low Pressure Brings Cloudy Skies and Showers to Cyprus

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating that a weak low-pressure system is currently affecting the region. The forecast covers a period from 1200 on April 29, 2025, until 1200 on April 30, 2025, and applies to an area extending 8 kilometers seawards.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance is 1011 hPa. The evening is expected to bring locally increased cloud coverage, potentially resulting in isolated showers in the northern areas of Cyprus. As the night progresses, the weather is anticipated to be mainly fine, albeit with areas of increased cloud coverage.

By the following morning, the forecast predicts predominantly cloudy conditions. Localized showers are expected in the western and northern parts of the island. Visibility is generally good, although it may reduce to moderate levels at times. The sea surface temperature is currently recorded at 19°C, with no warnings in place for the forecast period.
