Weak High Pressure Influences Cyprus Sea Weather

Limassol: Weak high pressure is currently affecting the sea area of Cyprus, resulting in mainly fine weather conditions and good visibility. The sea surface temperature remains steady at 18°C, with no warnings issued for the region.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the wind and state of the sea vary across different coasts of Cyprus. On the west coast, the afternoon brings southwest to northwest winds at forces of 3 to 4, locally variable, resulting in a smooth to slight sea state. At night, winds shift to northeast to east at a force of 3, maintaining a smooth to slight condition. By morning, winds adjust to a northeast to southeast direction at force 3, occasionally reaching east to southeast 3 to 4, with the sea remaining smooth to slight.

The south coast experiences northeast to east winds at a force of 3 to 4 in the afternoon, occasionally reaching force 4, with the sea state smooth to slight. Nighttime brings northwest to northeast winds at force 3, later increasing to 3 to 4, transitioning from smooth to slight to slightly rougher. In the morning, wind strength increases to north to northeast force 4, occasionally reaching 4 to 5, resulting in a slight sea state.

On the east coast, winds are northeast at force 3 to 4 in the afternoon, sometimes reaching force 4, creating a smooth to slight sea state. At night, winds shift to northwest to northeast at force 3 to 4, later increasing to force 4, resulting in a slight sea state. Morning conditions see northeast winds at force 4, occasionally reaching 4 to 5, leading to a slight sea state, at times locally slight to moderate.

The north coast experiences northeast to east winds at force 3 to 4 in the afternoon, sometimes reaching force 4, with the sea state smooth to slight. At night, winds transition to east to southeast at force 3, occasionally reaching offshore northeast to east 3 to 4, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state, with slight conditions offshore. By morning, winds adjust to southeast to southwest at force 3, with offshore conditions of northeast to east at force 4, resulting in a smooth to slight sea state.
