‘We Are on the Right Track’ President Christodoulides Says After Meeting with Erhrman

Nicosia: Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides said the sides were 'on the right track', based on what the United Nations Secretary-General had said, as he left on Wednesday afternoon a meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhrman at the UN Good Offices Mission offices in the UN-protected area of Nicosia airport.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the meeting between the two leaders, which began at around 4 p.m., lasted just over two and a half hours. Erhrman was the first to leave, followed a few minutes later by President Christodoulides, who reiterated that 'We are on the right track, based on what the Secretary-General said.'

Following the meeting, the United Nations issued a statement.
