Nicosia: December 2025 has been notably wet for Cyprus, as ongoing barometric systems have brought substantial rainfall across much of the island, the Department of Meteorology announced in a press release on Wednesday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, while several regions have witnessed rainfall totals for the month nearing or even surpassing seasonal norms, this has only locally improved hydrological conditions and has not significantly altered the island's overall water balance. The Department highlighted December 30 as a key example, reporting an average daily rainfall of 17.9 mm, with some areas experiencing even higher amounts.
