Nicosia: A warning for strong and at times near gale south-westerly to westerly winds, reaching force 6 and locally up to 7 Beaufort, is in effect on Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00, mainly impacting the southwestern coasts and at times the northern coastal areas.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Department of Meteorology has indicated that the sea is expected to be moderate, becoming rough at times. Authorities are urging heightened caution, particularly among seafarers and coastal operators, due to the low pressure affecting the Cyprus sea area. This weather pattern is bringing mainly cloudy conditions with local showers and a risk of isolated thunderstorms through to early Monday.
For the period from 06:00 on March 29 to 06:00 on March 30, thin dust is anticipated to remain suspended in the atmosphere until midday. Visibility will generally be good but may be temporarily reduced to moderate or poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is around 18°C.
