Warm Air Mass Brings Mist and Fog to Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting mainly fine weather with some local variations. The forecast covers an 8-kilometer distance seawards and is valid from 0600 on June 8, 2025, until 0600 on June 9, 2025.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the presence of a warm air mass is affecting the area, leading to increased low cloud coverage at times. There is an expectation of local mist and fog patches tonight and during the morning, which will result in varying visibility conditions. While visibility is generally good, it could become moderate to poor in mist and very poor in fog.

The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast’s issuance stands at 1009 hPa, with a sea surface temperature of 22°C. Despite the potential for reduced visibility, no warnings have been issued for this period.
