Nicosia: Akritas Chlorakas, Omonoia, AEL, Ethnikos, AEK, and APOEL emerged victorious in the 20th matchday of the Cyprus League football championship organized by Stoiximan over the weekend.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Akritas Chlorakas secured a 2-0 win against Anorthosis in a game held at "Stelios Kyriakides" stadium, with goals from Carlitos in the 35th minute and Barry in the 92nd minute. Omonoia Nicosia clinched a victory over Freedom 24 Krasava ENY with a late goal by Stevan Jovetic in the 88th minute at the GSP stadium in Nicosia.
In the Limassol derby, AEL triumphed over Aris with a score of 2-1. Saturday's matches saw Ethnikos Achnas defeating Pafos F.C. 2-1, while AEK Larnaca dominated E.N. Paralimni with a 5-0 victory. APOEL Nicosia also secured a 2-0 win against Olympiacos Nicosia.
The standings following the weekend's matches place Omonoia, AEK, Apollonas, Pafos, Aris, and APOEL at the top.
