Nicosia: The University of Nicosia is set to welcome a new cohort of students to its English-taught Integrated Master in Pharmacy (MPharm) program for the 2026-2027 academic year. This initiative addresses the demand from both Cypriot and international students seeking a pharmacy qualification within an international educational setting.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the five-year, full-time MPharm program is offered at the University of Nicosia's main campus in Nicosia and is available in both English and Greek. Students will gain practical training in eight specialized pharmacy laboratories, which facilitate instruction in key areas such as medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical analysis and quality control, drug research and development, pharmacy practice, biology, pharmacology, and chemistry.
Professor Christos Petrou, Head of the Department of Health Sciences, emphasized the significance of the program's availability in English, stating that it provides more prospective students the opportunity to study pharmacy in Cyprus without compromising the language of instruction or educational quality. The program aims to attract international students already residing in Cyprus, those looking for an English-speaking European study destination, and Cypriots who might have considered studying abroad.
The academic curriculum is designed to meet the modern demands of the healthcare sector, with a focus on personalized care, prevention, pharmaceutical innovation, and person-centered care. Graduates have the opportunity to pursue careers in community and hospital pharmacy, primary care, the pharmaceutical industry, research and development, and pharmaceutical regulatory authorities.
