University of Cyprus Achieves Significant Rise in QS European Rankings

Nicosia: The University of Cyprus has recorded a notable improvement in the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, moving up to the 216th position among 958 universities across Europe. This advancement marks a significant rise from last year's 246th spot, highlighting the University's ongoing progress.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the University of Cyprus stands as the highest-ranked institution in Cyprus and achieves top national performance in several QS indicators. These include Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Employment Outcomes, International Faculty Ratio, International Research Network, Papers per Faculty, and Sustainability.

The QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 are derived from a thorough evaluation of universities' research performance, international engagement, reputation, and societal impact. The 2026 edition utilizes extensive global data, encompassing millions of scientific publications, citations, and assessments by academics and employers worldwide.

The University of Cyprus is also noted in the QS World University Rankings 2026, announced in June 2025, where it is placed 452nd globally, further affirming its growing international stature.

The QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, a regional segment of the annual QS World University Rankings by the internationally recognized QS World University Rankings / Top Universities, confirms the University of Cyprus's steady ascent within the European academic sphere and its expanding international recognition.
