Nicosia: The number of unemployed persons, registered at the District Labour Offices on the last day of September 2025, reached 7,624, marking a 6.4% decrease compared to September 2024, the Statistical Service announced in a statement today.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the seasonally adjusted data, which indicate the unemployment trend, showed that the number of registered unemployed for September 2025 decreased to 9,711 persons, compared to 10,053 in the previous month.
The report further highlights that compared to September 2024, there was a reduction of 518 persons or 6.4%. This decline is mainly attributed to the sectors of trade, construction, financial and insurance activities, manufacturing, and the reduction in newcomers to the labour market.
