Nicosia: The Turnover Value Index of Transport and Storage during the third quarter of 2024 reached 145.1 units (base year 2021=100), recording an increase of 2% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, according to data published by the Statistical Service on Wednesday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, by economic activity, increases relative to the third quarter of the previous year were observed in water transport (10.7%), land transport (7.1%), postal and courier activities (4.1%), and warehousing and support activities for transportation (1.3%), while a decrease was recorded in air transport (-2.9%).
During the period from January to September 2024, the Turnover Value Index of Transport and Storage recorded an increase of 1.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
