Nicosia: An annual increase of 17.8% in wholesale trade turnover value and an annual decrease of 2.5% in the turnover value of sales and repair of motor vehicles was recorded in the second quarter of 2026.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Turnover Value Index of Wholesale Trade during the second quarter of 2026 recorded an increase of 17.8% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. This significant rise indicates a robust performance in the wholesale trade sector, reflecting potentially increasing demand and economic activity within this field.
For the same quarter, the Turnover Value Index of Sales and Repair of Motor Vehicles recorded a decrease of 2.5% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. This decline suggests challenges in the motor vehicle sector, potentially influenced by factors such as market saturation, economic conditions, or shifting consumer preferences.
