Nicosia: The Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade and the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade recorded an increase in January 2026, according to the Statistical Service.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for January 2026 increased by 7.4% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year. This rise indicates a positive trend in the retail sector's financial performance during the start of the year.
For the same month, the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade saw an increase of 8.3% compared to January 2025. This growth in volume suggests a higher quantity of goods sold, reflecting a strong consumer demand within the retail market during this period.
