ANKARA: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened lower on Tuesday at 10,038.19 points, marking a decrease of 0.16% or 16.01 points from the previous close. On Monday, the BIST 100 had gained 2.36%, reaching 10,054.20 points with a transaction volume of 80 billion liras ($2.39 billion). As of 10:04 a.m. (0704 GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.7810, the euro/Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) rate was 37.4361, and the British pound/Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) rate was 43.8996. The price of gold was $2,541.25 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $77.27 per barrel.
