ANKARA: Trkiye's benchmark stock index closed Monday at 10,343.31 points, plunging 2.86% from last week's close. After starting the day at 10,714.07 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 304.60 points with a daily transaction volume of 99 billion liras ($3 billion). The price of an ounce of gold was $2,338.40, while Brent crude oil sold for around $86.39 per barrel as of 6.07 p.m. local time (1507GMT).
