ANKARA: Trkiye's benchmark stock index closed Monday at 10,864.08 points, rising 0.11% from last week's close. After starting the day at 10,901.90 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 12.30 points with a daily transaction volume of 93.8 billion liras ($2.87 billion). The price of an ounce of gold was $2,381.30, while Brent crude oil sold for around $86.31 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT). The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.70.43, the euro/lira exchange rate 35.4274, and the British pound traded at 41.9602 liras. Source: Anadolu Agency
