New Delhi: The Cyprus University Athletics Federation’s delegation returned from the World University Championships in New Delhi with three silver medals in shooting.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Petros Englezoudis clinched a silver medal in the individual event. He also finished second in the men’s mixed event alongside teammates Dimitris Christofi and Varnavas Theodorou. Additionally, Englezoudis, paired with Anastasia Eleftheriou, secured another silver in the men’s-women’s mixed event.
In her remarks upon the delegation’s return to Cyprus, Anastasia Eleftheriou expressed that her sixth-place finish in the individual event motivated her to perform better in the mixed race. She extended her gratitude to her teammate, Petros Englezoudis, for their combined effort in the final, as well as to the entire Cypriot delegation.
