Nicosia: A low-pressure system is set to approach Cyprus, bringing a drop in temperature, intermittent local rain, and possibly isolated thunderstorms from Tuesday evening through Wednesday and Thursday, according to meteorological officer Mattheos Papadakis. This weather change signals a departure from the seasonal normal temperatures that have been observed up until Tuesday evening.
According to Cyprus News Agency, temperatures have remained at seasonal levels, with readings around 30 degrees inland, 29 degrees along the southern and eastern coasts, 27 degrees on the northern and western coasts, and approximately 21 degrees in the higher mountainous areas. Papadakis noted that if the forecast is accurate, this would mark the first low-pressure system to impact Cyprus this year.
From Tuesday through Thursday, a gradual decrease in temperatures is anticipated, falling below the seasonal average. Temperatures are expected to range between 25 and 26 degrees, with the drop being particularly noticeable in Nicosia, especially if rainfall occurs.
