Solid Financials Allow Measures to Address Impact of Regional Crisis, Spokesman Says

Paphos: The reason the Government is in a position to take measures to address the consequences of the regional crisis are 'the strong financial foundations, due to the responsible fiscal policy it follows,' Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis said on Wednesday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Letymbiotis made these remarks during statements to journalists after attending the doxology at the Cathedral of St. Theodoros in Paphos, on the occasion of the April 1 anniversary. When questioned about the Government's measures to tackle the energy crisis, which is part of the broader regional situation, the Spokesman emphasized that the Government "is evaluating the data on a daily basis" in response to ongoing developments.

Letymbiotis highlighted that the region is experiencing a crisis with an uncertain duration and depth, which could potentially impact energy prices or the cost of living. The Government remains vigilant and prepared to adapt its strategies as the situation evolves.
