Six people from a group including 11 Greek citizens and their family members, who arrived in Larnaca after their evacuation from Beirut, were repatriated to Greece on Saturday, according to the Greek Foreign Ministry.
In a tweet on X, the Greek Ministry said that “with the assistance of the Embassies of Cyprus and Greece in Beirut, 11 Greek citizens and their family members arrived, on a chartered flight from the Republic of Cyprus, in Larnaca”, referring to the chartered flight that landed in Larnaca on Friday night carrying a total of 70 persons.
“With the care of our Embassy in Nicosia and under the coordination of the Crisis Management Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 6 of them were repatriated today to Greece”, the Foreign Ministry added, thanking the Republic of Cyprus for its support and immediate response.
