Nicosia: Cyprus Police said on Saturday that the already increased security measures at all critical infrastructure sites in the Republic of Cyprus, as well as other areas considered high risk, have been heightened due to current developments in the Middle East.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Police Headquarters spokesperson Vyron Vyronos stated that following developments in the Middle East, the Police have reinforced the already increased security measures at all critical infrastructure sites in the Republic and other areas considered high risk.
Vyronos noted that the measures are preventive in nature and are part of the overall operational plan to address any potential threats. He emphasized that the Police are on alert, with the primary priority being the protection of citizens and ensuring public safety.
