Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that seasonal low pressure is currently affecting the region. The forecast covers the period from noon on August 20, 2025, until noon on August 21, 2025, extending 8 kilometers seawards from the coast.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1004 hPa. Despite the influence of low pressure, the weather is expected to remain mainly fine throughout the period. However, early morning hours will experience locally increased low cloud coverage, particularly over the western and northern parts of the area.
The visibility in the region is reported to be good, with no warnings issued for the forecast period. The sea surface temperature is noted to be at 29°C, indicating warm conditions. Winds in the area are being measured on the Beaufort scale, providing necessary data for navigational and safety purposes.
